Wednesday April 9th Thursday April 10th
Brad’s parent dropped us off at the Huntsville Airport around 4pm for our 5:55 flight. We breezed through security and found a seat to wait for the plane to Atlanta. Brad got hungry immediately so we broke into the protein bars right away. We arrived in Atlanta as scheduled and boarded the plane to Paris early, although we took off late. We were served champagne as soon as we reached the proper altitude as our beverage. Soon after that came an excellent dinner. A walk around the plane, a nap, some breakfast (Brad even ate yogurt) and we landed in Paris.
Paris was another experience! A long hike from one end of the airport to the other, through customs, and another security line and we finally reaching our gate area. We were beat and found some great seats (see pix) for a little nap before our plane to Hungry was scheduled.
When it came time for the flight I was a little worried because I did not see a plane but they called us to board. Well, we walked down the ramp to the ground and boarded a bus. After crowding onto the bus we were driven to the other end of the airport (probably where we started) walked up a ramp and onto the plane. Whew, finally on the way to Budapest!
We flew over the snow covered alps-how beautiful (more pix) and a few hours later we were landing in Budapest. The plane was early and unable to due to another plane being in the slot. But, they didn’t make us sit there and wait, instead a bus drove out to the taxi way and we piled in and were driven to the terminal. How considerate. We gather the luggage which also had to be driven to the terminal and had it in our hands faster than any American airport. Found our driver and arrived at the Budapest Hilton at Thursday 7pm Budapest time very very tired.

Glad to hear that your trip over went well. Sounds like you had a pretty enjoyable trip and is sounds like the US airports could learn something from the Hungarian ones.

Have a great time.
